Althea Jenkins Webber and Michael Eli Gruen had been married Dec. 7 at Basilica Hudson, an arts and functionality area in Hudson, N.Y. Joshua R. Brodie, a friend of the pair who grew to become a Common Everyday living minister for this occasion, officiated.
Ms. Webber, 33, is a director of strategy at the School Board, the education and learning corporation in New York that develops and administers standardized assessments, which include the SAT. She graduated from Middlebury College or university and gained a master’s degree in public administration from Columbia.
She is the daughter of Karen G. Jenkins and David S. Webber of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. The bride’s father is the vice president for finance and administration at the Orchestra of St. Luke’s in New York. Her mother is the government director of Ethel’s Foundation for the Arts, which is in New York and supports the string quartet Ethel.
Mr. Gruen, 35, is the vice president for functions at Concourse Labs, a cloud governance start off-up company in New York that develops software to help consumers control their public cloud use. He is also a director of Literacy Trust, a New York business that offers early childhood literacy packages in New York’s general public universities. He graduated from Hamilton Higher education.
He is a son of Melissa A. Gruen and John I. Gruen of New Shoreham, R.I., on Block Island. The groom’s mom was a stay-at-dwelling mother or father and a freelance graphic designer, and is now a 3-dimensional paper artist. His father is the proprietor of both equally Palisades Dental and South East Instruments, each healthcare-system manufacturers in Englewood, N.J.
The couple were introduced in 2016 through the League, a courting app, and had their 1st day in New York.
